John's disciples had a dispute with a Jew on purification. They mention the Jew, whom John borne witness, is water baptizing more than him. John points out it doesn't matter who baptizes more for God is the only one who can truly regenerate you. We can only joyfully witness being a friend to the bride and the bridegroom.
